Today is the final day before leaving, I’ll be busy preparing everything for tomorrow night departure, so here is the final video, which I wanted to feature the music of Heavy Rain, one very interesting game that came out no so long ago, and as a very nice soundtrack that really help the game setting. The video could not be embedded so please click on the link to see it on Youtube.
One last classical piece before the countdown will reach its end with the Fourth movement of Brahms 1st symphony which can be a little representative of how I felt during the last week, as it is a track that is a little dark but then will go toward the lights and became much more joyful, which is really how I was down a week ago, and perfectly fine now before the final rise of the orchestra that will be my departure in just a little less than three days.
Another game from Mr Ueda is Shadow of the Colossus, which has strong links with ICO, and is probably taking place before it, but this game is really different and is what trully can be called David against Golliath, you’re just one boy with your horse, and want to save your girl friend, you don’t know what the connection between them is, as in the previous game, you’ll make the story on your own, by finding and taking down 16 gigantic creatures for each of which you’ll have to find the weakness and the way to reach it with your sword. The game also features one of the best soundtracks I’ve ever heard which you can discover here.
Well those are the finally 5 days and counting, I’m glad the situation seems now pretty good as far as flight as concerned, so I’ll just keep watching information to make sure I’m right on track for Japan. I’d rather be stuck a litle there than in France. Today is a J-Pop clip which is the song linked to the drama Galileo, which I find quite funy, I like a little less the electronic singing parts. The “tchu” part is basically the Japanese sound for kisses
Yakitate Japan, a weird name for a weird anime, as Japanese creators seems to just be able to take any subject as the basis of a story, this one is based on bread baking, but if it was only that it would not be so fun, no, in this anime the cooked bread just looked very surprising in shape, but also have such a great taste that it leeds judges on many completely crazy reaction. I let you check a bit of it in video.
I spoke a few days ago of the music of Myst, today here come the creation of the same composer, Jack Wall, for another game series which is Mass Effect, a very good space opera game with a very dense universe and very nicely done, with of course great music that you can discover a little with this trailer.
One week to go, and today’s track don’t really need any introduction, it is probably one of Beethoven most known symphony, The Ode to Joy, with it’s powerful solo and chorus part. This extract starts quite slowly and will get more and more powerfull then calm down again before the brillant final.
While plane here are grounded let’s talk about plane, but not heavy jets rather fast small combat aircraft. The Ace Combat game series took me since quite some time, and caught me with a great music perfectly fitted with the game as well as nice graphics and nervous gameplay, and most of all perfectly design sound from the airplane shooting or getting shot as to the ambiant chatter between other pilots and mission command. To see that here is the very “hollywood”-like trailer of the latest episode in which everything is directly as it is on the video in the game.
While the situation is uncertain now whethere I’ll be able or not to go to Japan and all will be decided by winds forecast, I continue this countdown. Today is a simple and very nice songs which title is One more time, One more chance.
Haibane Renmei is an anime that I really enjoyed, I don’t know exactly why but it take you into a strange world, where Haibane Renmei which are “Grey Wings” are people that got to be born, or reborn more exactly there withtout remembering a single thing, and that got wings and a halo, but there are other people without any special features, the land is surrounded by a very long wall, and there is a strange community too that lives there. And never you will hear the word angel, and in the end you’ll have nothing but your own advice on what is the place and what it means for you, which is the strong point of this anime.
