We first went to Nara, at this place we did go to the Kasuga Taisha Shrine to check the many temples there and had a chance to see some babies which are a month old that were there to be purified, a process that is repeated on their third and seventh year, what is quite different about the place is that it has a huge number probably thousands of lanternes, either in stone or metal, We then continued to the Todaiji temple in which we saw the biggest Buddha here which is 19m heigh, and we finally had lunch in a local restaurant nearby where it was mainly meat that fried in a pot in front of us. After the lunch we went to the Kofukuji temple to check the five stages pagoda, and had a short freetime to wander around the city. What is very specific here too is that there are Deers living in freedom there that you can easily touch and feed, and that are quite everywhere on the area. After this we continued to Fushimi to check the Sake Museum, unfortunately the program has been changed as since the Influenza is quite a problem right now we had a french movie instead of the brewrie visit which ended with a sake degustation, before that we went quickly through the museum and saw the original tools that were used to make sake. And for information the sake here is rice wine which is about 15% and has nothing in Chinese restaurant. After being back in Kyoto we had some freetime before dinner and then I went with other to check the Gion area. I guess you might have question after one or two of the pictures but won’t say anything before you ask.

http://picasaweb.google.fr/avandoorine/JapanDay5

One new day in Japan, and while we arrived at Kyoto yesterday we didn’t actually visit it today, except going to the Gion area, in which we tried to get a glimpse of geiko and maiko.
