We then had to change to more usual clothes, before leaving the ryokan. We just made a quick ride by bus to get to the point where we would get on a boat for a cruise on Lake Ashi which was pretty nie in the fresh air of the morning though we could not see Mount Fuji because of the clouds. Once this was over we get to 1000m of altitute at Owakudani Valley, where there is sulfur that is naturally getting through the rock and with the water, at this place we of course where at the verybeginning quite taken by the powerful smell of sulfur but then we went even higher by foot and we did get to eat eggs that had been cooked directly in the hot sulfur water which makes Kuro Tamago (Black Egg) , I like many other ate one as it is said to gave 7 more years to live, while the eggs outside is black the inside is still quite the same and don’t really have any weird taste. After that stop we started the 6 hours trip to Kyoto, during which we stopped two times for resting, but on the first town it was time to eat a bento box, which is the kind of meal Japanese eat while enroute, or even all the schoolboy and girls as well as many working people. It is at this occasion that the weather was finally good enough so we could see the Mount fuji getting through the clouds. We then just ride to Tokyo where after all these Japanese things we’ll have tonight diner in an italian restaurant.
