So basically almost 48 hours without sleeping. But tonight the great surprise came from the internet access which is very cheap about $10 for 24 hours. So todays are the first pictures and we’ve seen quite a lot and quickly which really exhausted everyone, as we first went to Ryogoku which took us about one hour by bus as Narita is 70kms away, where is the Sumo museum which we could’nt visit because there is actually a Sumo tournament that takes place here. Then we headed to Asakusa, there we first visited the street by ourself before eating in a Sushi restaurant, it was tasting good but there where too much for me. After that we went to the temple of Senso-ji where I had a try at the luck prediction and hopefully got a good prediction which I kept with me, as a bad one would have had to be attached to avoid the fate predicted. I might show it to those who asked me. We then headed straight for Akihabara true electronics and electrics paradise, where we had 45 minutes to wander around and there is a lot to see, what strikes the european guy I am, and of course user of some technological devices is the price, which is really much cheaper did you ever thought you might found a 100DVD-R spindle for less than $10. Then we headed for the other side of Tokyo coming near the Imperial palace which you can’t enter freely and then getting a quick glimpse of the Tokyo Tower which is very much the Japan Eiffel Tower. Finally we went to see The Meiji-Kingu sanctuary which is pretty much in the middle of a very nice park, where we saw how to purify ourselves before entering the place, how the Japanese can makke wish and prey, calling the god by clapping in their hands twice. And we in the end got a quick stop at the Town Hall of Tokyo in Shinjuku to get a panoramic view of Tokyo, before we could finally get to the hotel take a shower have diner and rest until the next day. The few things that really stiked me on the first day are also the smell of the air which is really different when you discover it as the sea is not so far it is more humid, but really different from what we’re used too. Also you see many more shops at the same place than I ever saw with many making announcements and things like that, and also the circulation though Tokyo is very croweded with 12 millions of people we did not really get stuck, and both drivers and peoples are much more respective of the signalisation, of course you can also tell that everything is much more clean than the streets of big cities I know, there is actually even selective bins out on the streets, and also you see a lot of people wearing masks which as nothing to do with the current Influenza but Japanese think about protecting the people around them when they are ill, which I think is something that we should all do. I’m curious to know the impact it might have around the world on the seasonal diseases. Well that will be it for this first day.

http://picasaweb.google.fr/avandoorine/JapanDay1

First day in Tokyo, which was quite exhausting as after leaving for the airport in Paris we’re the rendez-vous was set at 5:35 am all the trip took us to Tokyo Narita at 9am local the next morning.
