One of the most famous thing being the anti intrusion system of the time, with the “nightingale” floor. The wood pieces are made and placed in such way that any movement or just placing your feet on would make noise, that would alert of your presence. We could also see the various area and meeting places of this castle.

Then we continued for another famous site, which is the Golden Pavillion, which was also built by a former shogun, which in the end of his life became a buddhist, and then made this shrine been constructed. Though the original work burnt it has been rebuilt, but the garden surrounding it are still the same as they were back then.

And to conlude this morning, before ucnh we went for a small peak of the imperial palace, though the emperor family is in Tokyo they still come here on many occasions and ceremony, this is why you provide some information before entering and are tighly monitored during the visit. We then had lunch in a Japanese restaurant before continuing to Nara.

In Nara were two stops, the first was the great buddha statue in the todai-ji temple the tallest buddha that is made of Bronze and is really tall, this statue is enclosed in a temple that also feature a pillar in which there is a hole at the ground level, where lot of Japanese wait to try and go through it. It is said to be the same size as Buddha’s nostril, and that if you can go through you will get to the heaven.

Final stop was the Kasuga-Taisha shinto shrine, this shinto place is famouse for it’s numerous lanterns both in stone and hanged out from the shrine ceiling itself. There are thousands of them. This temple is dedicated amongst other to the thunder god. We then went back to Kyoto from where we departed in the end of the day. To prepare everything for our day of tomorrow and trip back to Tokyo.

Pictures : https://plus.google.com/photos/114773392268686655181/albums/6019878126286365553?authkey=CMrCl4bi6r6T6AE

Photos : https://plus.google.com/photos/114773392268686655181/albums/6019878126286365553?authkey=CMrCl4bi6r6T6AE

Final day in Kyoto area and final group excurstion, this day were three sites to visit in Kyoto before spending the afternoon in Nara.
