It was an occasion to take some other shots of Tokyo from the top.

<p align=justify">After that we went to the Happo-en garden, where we had a tea ceremony, we then had a little time to walk in the garden itself, and we saw several couple getting married which is not surprising, our guide told us it was the second day of the year that is the most used for weddings.

<p align=justify">We continued to the Chinzan-so, where we once again went through quite a big garden with other couples, which I guess had just married that were there too. And we then ate at the Mokushundo restaurant where food was grilled just in front of us by the waitresses, that had put on us some nice apron. It was very good and I had a great time.

<p align=justify">After lunch we went straight to the Imperial Palace, where we went up to the main gate, which people can go through only twice a year to see the Emperor. The place is really huge and without any cars, once again like a strange place inside Tokyo where suddenly everything around seems distant, like being a little in another world.

<p align=justify">Then we went to the Hinode Pier where we take a boat for a forty minutes cruise on the Sumida river that would take us up to Ginza, there I’ve found myself like last year in front of the Temple, so I took a Mikuji, but this time it was not very good so I quickly attached it to the pole to get it canceled. After all of that it was already the end of the day, but as it was early and that the guide offered to drop those who would like in Ginza I took the chance to see a little more before going back to the Hotel.

<p align=justify">Ginza is a bit like the Champs-Elysee of Paris, with a big avenue, which is bordered by a very high number of shops for many famous brands, Chanel, Dior, Apple, and so on. But what made it a little different too is that on Saturdays and Sundays the avenue is closed to vehicles so instead of being everyone on each side of the street you were able to walk just anywhere you want, so it did not seemed so crowded in fact. And I had the luck to find one of the gift I wanted here so it was nice.

<p align=justify">Went I came back I took a walk at the same time through the Hotels garden which I’ve under my window and that are pretty nice. So that is it for today, tomorrow I’ll join my friend, so I’ll probably have less to post, and don’t know if I’ll take the time or not to do it, I can’t be a bad guest 😉 so in the worst case you should see no more posts until Wednesday.

View the pictures / Voir les photos

Lire en français The first step of today’s trip was the Tokyo Tower, which was actually designed in the very beginning as a TV transmission tower, but has also two observatory, one at about 150m and the other, much higher, but we stayed at the middle one, getting to the higher one required special tickets, […]

[6
