Japan 2014 Day 3 / Japon 2014 Jour 3
On this new day was another planned and grouped excursion this time we stayed inside Tokyo to quikcly visit a few sites. First thing was the Meiji-Jingu shrine, this is the place that was dedicated to the Emperor Meiji and Emperess Shoken. This place is one of severall where you just don’t feel like being in a buzzing 13 millions being city. You just get in this big forest seeing no more roads concrete or trains. It’s like being in another world, after a big wooden gate and several minutes of walk later you get to the temple itself.
After that we went around the Imperial  Palace catching quickly a view of the National Diet, Japan’s Parliament, before going to our next stop that was the Imperial Palace East Garden. There you can visit freely a beautiful garden, that is once again kept completey cut from the outside world with tall walls, and such a great space available.
We then continued for a tour of Asakusa where we could see the famous Kannon temple, as well as the huge street in front of this temple that is full of small shops of all kinds, where you can find many souvenirs item. It was then time for a lunch which this time was not very special being western style. Before a 50 minutes cruise over the Tokyo Bay, and finally a simple time in Odaiba the famouse island that was built above the sea.
Next day we’ll be staying in a ryokan and onsen (traditional inn) so we might not be able to report until thursday.

En cette nouvelle journée nous avions un autre tour organisé mais sommes cette fois resté à l’intérieur de Tokyo pour visiter rapidement quelques sites. Première chose au programme le temple Meiji-Jingu, qui est dédié à l’empereur Meiji et l’impératrice Shoken. Cette endroit est l’un de plusieurs dans lesquels on n’a d’un coup plus l’impression d’être dans une ville ruche aux 13 millions de personnes. Vous vous retrouvez dans cette grande forêt sans bitume, routes, ou trains. C’est comme se trouver dans un autre monde, après une grande “porte” en bois et quelques minutes de marche on arrive au temple en lui même.
Après cela nous avons conituere, passant autour du Palais Impérial pour avoir un rapide aperçu bu bâtiment de la Diète, le Parlement Japonaios, avant notre arrêt suivant qui était le Jardin de l’Est du Plais Impérial. A cet endroit on peut visiter librement et gratuitement, un très agréable jardin, qui est là aussi comme coupé du monde par de grands murs et protégeant une zone assez étendue.
Nous avons ensuite continué par une visite du temple de Kannon à Asakusa, où nous avons vu hormi le temple, la très grande rue commerciale, avec ses nombreuses petites échoppes en tout genre. Il fut alors temps d’un déjeuner occidental très agréable. Et pour finir nous avons commencé par une croisière de 50 minutes dans la baie de Tokyo, avant de terminer par un petit tour sur l’île artificielle d’Odaïba la fameuse île créée sur la mer.
Demain nous restons dans un ryokan et onsen (auberge traditionelle) aussi nous serons peut être pas en mesure d’écrire avant Jeudi.
